My RV Living Story
Hi, friend! I’m Hoot. And, this is my RV living story. I started this blog to document what I call RV Freedom. But my real goal here is to help you find your own path out of the rat race.
No, Hoot’s not my given name.
It’s a nickname my Gram gave me when I was little. And, it has stuck with me all my life. When I was younger if someone called me by my real name I knew I was in trouble for something. lol
Here’s a little bit about me…
I’ve lived all over the US and Europe. I’m a natural born wanderer. I’ve always had itchy feet. And, I’ve tried to live in one place and be a more conventional person. But, I just couldn’t do it.
And, for awhile I lived on my Kadey-Krogen, Sumo. I even passed the test for my captain’s license. Boat dwelling was fun and I love the water. But, constantly being in the sun(No shade) and the worry over hurricanes kinda sucked the fun out of it for me.
My Journey With Less
Years ago, after reading, Your Money or Your Life, I decided to embrace minimalism.
I knew I couldn’t afford to do everything. Have a big house, work a big job, and have big debt AND compete with my horses. So, I learned to live frugally and I only spent money on what was important to me. My horses.
But, then I had enough of that and tried to settle down. I Got married. Got a mortgage. And we became conventional. And then realized how miserable I was in this lifestyle.
So, with husband in tow we sold everything.
Embraced minimalism. Went back to living on less so we really could do more. And here we are traveling and enjoying life all across America in our RV.
What we’ve found is we are happier and our life is filled with more fun and more money.
Happiness can’t be found in a store. So, come along and find your freedom too.
The Product of Living on Less
I live a great life.
I have tons of fun. And, I’m able to do all this because I don’t have a mortgage to pay, I don’t listen to people who tell me I have to live a certain way,
I make my own path.
Don’t you want to enjoy your life, your own way? If so, you’ve come to the right spot.
